Pristine London were appointed by JLL to carry out the enabling works at 5 Canada Sq.
Pristine London managed all isolations & validations before the electrical and mechanical services were rendered safe for stripping out. The building remained occupied throughout the period, so it was very important not to have any false alarms or any negative effect on the buildings existing services that were to remain active throughout the strip out and fit-out stages. The entire programme was managed successfully without any services interruption to the client.
Pristine was also responsible for elements of the fit out of this area which involved:
- Making good walls and decoration
- Painting the floors
- Firestopping where services had been removed
- Altered the fire system from gas suppression to smoke detection
- Updated the lighting throughout
A mixture of metal, wood and concrete was removed from the site. These different materials were segregated at source and disposed of through licensed waste carriers. The vital statistics for non-hazardous waste were:
- 98% recycled
- 2% waste to energy
- 0% sent to landfill
